Tomorrow we’ll return to our regularly scheduled dialogue about love, sex, and relationships…but today, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday I thought we’d take a little time to honor the man who fought for so many of our dreams.

While we, young black and brown folks, could not even be HERE without Dr. King’s sacrifices, at times we lose sight of that fact. We get caught up in getting ours and forget that we couldn’t be able to pursue such fabulous (or mediocre) lives had it not been for our foremothers and forefathers who fought oppression and an entire system that was determined to keep them down.

So as we celebrate the life of Dr. King, listen to some of his less famous, yet extremely poignant words.
