Prior to the groundbreaking work of dentist Avi Weisfogel few people knew that dental care and dental tools could be used to help people suffering with sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. But after more than 20 years of research Dr. Avi Weisfogel has identified and demonstrated a number of effective ways to use dentistry to address sleep problems. And he has been more than glad to travel the world showing other dentists how they too can use their dental training and dental practices to treat people suffering with a wide range of sleep disorders.
For many people with sleep disorders, a normal life seems far out of reach. Add the fact there are few effective treatments for the conditions they suffer and it’s easy to see why many of them become frustrated, bitter and depressed. But Dr. Avi Weisfogel has been giving hope to patients with sleep problems for many years. He started working with sleep patients while running Old Bridge Dental Care, an award-winning dental practice he opened in 1999. While known for delivering some of the best dental care anywhere, the practice also developed a reputation as a place where a dentists was offering help to patients with sleep disorders.
By 2010, Dr. Weisfogel was ready to take his breakthroughs in treating sleep apnea and other sleep issues to an international audience. He founded Healthy Heart Sleep, an organization dedicated to letting people know how dental techniques could help solve sleep problems. Two years later Dr. Weisfogel started Owner Unlimited Sleep Patient with the expressed goal of helping dentists set up and run sleep labs to give them a deeper understand of how dental care could positively impact the quality of people’s sleep. With the creation of Dental Sleep Masters in 2014, Dr. Weisfogel set out to create a network of dentists that offered treatment to people with sleep issues and learn more about Avi.
